Customized Homeschool Curriculum
Customized homeschool curriculum built for one child — yours, by name. Built around your child's interests, grade, and pace by a real classroom teacher.
If this sounds familiar
You already know the system wasn't built for your kid.
- The bright kid who gets called "lazy" or "distracted" — because the pace was never theirs.
- The worksheet that ends in tears. Again.
- A label that stuck before anyone asked what your child is actually good at.
- The slow fade — a kid who used to ask a hundred questions a day, who just… stopped.
- What they "learned" at 10am is gone by dinner — practiced once, never reinforced, so nothing sticks.
- Weeks of the year swallowed by standardized tests — and a kid turned into a "data point" instead of a learner.
None of that means something is wrong with your child.
Here's the truth
It's not your child. It's the box.
One-size curriculum is built for the middle of a room of thirty — average pace, average interests, the average kid. Your child isn't average. No child is. So the box pinches. And the longer you force it, the more it costs — not in grades, in the only thing that really matters: whether they still love to learn.
The other way
So we throw out the box and build the opposite
A curriculum that starts with your actual child — one real conversation becomes a real plan.
- 1We get to know your childA 30-minute call about who they are: what they love, what they're good at, what bores them, what they struggle with. Dinosaurs, culinary, athletics, mythology — whatever it is, that's the raw material.
- 2We map what you needSubjects, grade level, your child's specific needs, and your real time constraints — the schedule you actually have.
- 3We build the systemA robust, pedagogically-sound curriculum designed around your child — their interests woven through real subjects, paced to fit your week.
- 4You get it on your schedule, by nameOnce a week, a few days, daily, an hour at a time — whatever fits. Videos, music, and hands-on activities, all made for your child specifically.
Who builds it
A teacher who saw the system from the inside
I'm not a content mill or an algorithm. I taught in a real Title I middle-school classroom, earned my Master of Arts in Teaching, and built curriculum every single day — and I homeschool my own kids. I've watched, up close, what actually reaches a child the worksheet lost. No commission. No upsell. Just the right plan for your child.
“I watched us run our middle schoolers through up to fourteen standardized tests a year — testing blocks that ate five to eight days of class each — then drown in ‘data’ from a sample far too small to mean a thing, on kids too stressed and bored to show what they actually knew. Weeks of real learning, gone. I built this to be the opposite: individualized, not intrusive.”
— Scott Somers, founder & teacher
Why it works
Their interests aren't a distraction — they're the way in
When the material is built on what a child already loves, the learning stops being a fight.
Built on what they love
The dinosaur kid learns fractions through fossils. The cook learns chemistry at the counter. Their world becomes the lesson.
Learn more →Sound, not gimmicky
Real pedagogy under the fun — scaffolding, grade-appropriate rigor, visible progress. A teacher's standards, not a worksheet's.
Learn more →Made for your child, by name
Not a download everyone else gets. It's assembled for the one kid we talked about, and it knows their name.
Learn more →Fits your real week
However often works for you — daily, a few days, an hour at a time. The pace is part of what we build, so it survives past Tuesday.
Learn more →Made to stick
A few focused minutes to lock in what they practiced — not the no-homework void, not a mountain of busywork. Just enough that it doesn't evaporate by dinner.
Learn more →Every grade
Built for K through 12
From early readers to college-prep — the build grows with your child. Technology when it helps, real books and hands-on work at the center.

Before you book
The honest questions
Do you use AI to build this?
Honest answer: yes — I use AI to help produce the materials. That's how a genuinely custom plan for one child is even possible without costing a fortune. But nothing reaches your child unseen. I design the plan, then review and shape every piece myself, against one standard: I won't hand your kid anything I wouldn't use in my own classroom or give my own children. The tool does the heavy lifting; the teacher makes every call.
How is this different from a boxed curriculum?
A box is built for a million kids. This is built for one — yours. Their interests, their pace, their gaps, their name.
Isn't this a lot of screen time?
No. Technology shows up only where it genuinely helps. The heart of it is real books, hands-on activities, and real-world learning — built for families who left the screens behind on purpose.
What if I don't even know what my child needs?
That's exactly what the free call is for. You bring your child in mind; we do the asking. Walking in unsure is the normal way to start.
Is it worth the cost?
You're paying a teacher to build exactly what your child needs — instead of buying five things that each half-fit. Most plans land comfortably inside an Alaska allotment.
Every plan is built by hand, one child at a time — so I take a limited number of new families each term. If it's a fit, the free call is where we start.
