Science Kits

Science a child does with their hands beats science they read about. These are the real kits, not the ones with three activities and a lot of cardboard. Chemistry, circuits, physics, engineering, with enough in the box to keep going after the first afternoon.

How to use it: do the experiment first and read the explanation afterward. That order matters. A kid who has already seen the thing happen has a reason to care why it happened, and a kid who read the why first is just waiting to be done.
