Use it this way
Parent effort: No prep
Sound waves, pitch, volume and echo, taught as a graphic novel. Max Axiom is a scientist who can shrink down and ride a sound wave, and the science underneath the comic is accurate.
How to use it: for the child who will not read a science textbook but will read a comic on the floor for an hour. Grades three through eight. Follow it with a rubber band across a shoebox and let them hear pitch change as the band tightens.
